ACM Global Central Laboratory Announces Director of Laboratory Operations as Senior Editor of Ninth Edition of Wallach’s Interpretation of Diagnostic Tests

Dr. Mary Williamson Manages Comprehensive Revision and Updates of Ninth Edition by New Author Team

Rochester, NY, June 17, 2011 - ACM Global Central Laboratory, the global central lab that continually defines the customer-service standard with its flexible approach, is proud to announce that Dr. Mary Williamson, MT (ASCP) PhD, director of Laboratory Operations is the senior editor of Lippincott Williams & Wilkins Ninth Edition of Wallach’s Interpretation of Diagnostic Tests.

Attendees of the 47th Annual DIA 2011 Meeting, June 20-22, will have a chance to receive a complimentary copy of the textbook signed by Dr. Williamson at booth #1240.

The textbook is considered one of the leading resources for clinical laboratory medicine and is geared for the primary care physician, physician’s assistant, nurse practitioner, and medical and nursing students as a guide to improve laboratory utilization by making it simpler to select and interpret the most useful laboratory tests for specific disease states. The book will be published this June in several languages with over 30,000 copies distributed worldwide. The publishers will also feature a companion website with additional online-only content, an image bank with algorithms and tables which can be easily exported into PowerPoint for lectures and presentations, and access to a complimentary mobile application.

Dr. Mary Williamson is responsible for all clinical laboratory and pathology and cytology operations as well as customer service and pre-analytical operations at ACM. She received her BS degree from SUNY at Stony Brook, NY, and her MS degree and PhD from the University of Rochester. She is a Registered Clinical Chemist (NRCC) and a Certified Medical Technologist (ASCP).
