ACM Global Central Lab Bolsters Scientific Expertise and Analytical Capabilities

New Director of Microbiology and Manager of Hematology Join Medical Team Based in U.S. Facility

Rochester, NY, Aug 23, 2011 – ACM Global Central Lab, the central laboratory that continually defines the customer-service standard with its flexible approach, has announced Dr. Suzanne Dale, PhD, D (ABMM), FCCM as the director of Microbiology, and Sara L. Diaz, MBA, BS, DLM (ASCP)CM, as ACM’s manager of Hematology. Both bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to augment the wide range of medical disciplines found in ACM’s in-house staff.

Dr. Dale brings an impressive line up of credentials to ACM. Her accomplishments include an Honors Bachelor of Science degree, with Distinction, in Microbiology and Immunology and a Doctorate in Microbiology and Immunology, both from the University of Western Ontario. She also completed a fellowship in Medical and Public Health Microbiology at the University of Rochester. Prior to joining ACM, Dr. Dale held an appointment as assistant professor at McMaster University in the Department of Pathology and Molecular Medicine and a clinical scientist position within the Hamilton Regional Laboratory Medicine Program. In her new role at ACM, Dr. Dale is responsible for both microbiology and molecular diagnostics.

Sara Diaz has more than two decades of experience in laboratory science. Diaz comes to ACM from Abington Memorial Hospital, where she was the core laboratory operations manager. Prior to that, Diaz was Hematology manager at Cooper Medical Center in NJ, and supervisor and bone marrow specialist of Hematology at New York Presbyterian Hospital. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology from York College CUNY, and a Master’s degree in information systems from Pace University, NY. Diaz is also a Diplomat in Laboratory Management (ASCP)CM (American Society of Clinical Pathology).
