john foley

Acting President
John Foley leads all of ACM’s global business units, including clinical trials, toxicology and medical diagnostics in the United States, United Kingdom, China, Singapore and India. John received his BS from University of Cincinnati, his MS from Princeton University and his MBA from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business.  John has over 30 years of experience in business management and employing innovative strategies for accelerated growth.  He was most recently CIO for two large health systems in Ohio and Pennsylvania. John previously held CEO positions at DefComm1 and VigilantMinds, Inc.

arnulfo delgado, mha, mt (ascp)

Vice President, Global Laboratory Operations
Arnulfo Delgado is responsible for ACM’s global clinical laboratory operations which includes both diagnostic medical testing and clinical trials. His oversight at ACM will include laboratory operations in the United States, United Kingdom, China, Singapore and India. Arnulfo Delgado received his bachelor of science at Arizona State University and his master’s degree from University of Texas at Arlington.  He has over 20 years of laboratory leadership experience and has worked at major academic healthcare systems, Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN and UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. Arnulfo is a Certified Medical Technologist (ASCP).

Azhar Kalim

Chief Commercial Officer, Clinical Trials
Azhar is responsible for ACM’s Global Clinical Trial business as Chief Commercial Officer. In this role, he leads ACM Global Laboratories’ strategic business development, partnerships, proposals and contracts, marketing and sales activities for the Clinical Trial business unit around the world.  Azhar has over 25 years’ experience in the drug development services sector, as a leader in expanding research capabilities and creating unique service offerings to the biopharma industry. Azhar possess significant experience with global central labs and the pharma services industry. He has held senior leadership roles at global CROs such as Quotient Sciences, Frontage Labs, Lambda Therapeutic Research Inc., and MDS Pharma Services. 

Kirk Larson

Chief Information Officer
Kirk Larson is Chief Information Officer of ACM Global Laboratories. In this role, Kirk provides leadership in transforming ACM’s business model through the use of technology. He leads all global information technology functions including strategic planning, financial management, daily operations, product implementation, and client service supporting company initiatives around the world. Kirk came to ACM from its parent company, Rochester Regional Health, where he served as senior vice president & associate chief information officer. He previously gained experience as healthcare chief information officer for NetApp, Inc., a Fortune 500 company located in Sunnyvale, Calif. Kirk joined NetApp from Valley Children’s Healthcare in Madera, Calif., one of the ten largest pediatric health systems in the country, where he served as vice president & chief information officer. Prior to that, he served as chief information officer at Natividad Medical Center, a county-owned public safety-net hospital in Salinas, Calif. With over 20 years of experience, Kirk brings a wealth of knowledge to ACM. He held a variety of senior leadership positions for Cerner Corporation, a leader in the healthcare information systems industry and the largest healthcare consultancy in the world, in Kansas City, Mo. Kirk was also a senior consultant with Arthur Andersen, LLP in Chicago, Ill. Kirk received dual degrees in master of health services administration (MHSA), health management and policy, and master of business administration (MBA), finance and corporate strategy, from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich. He earned his bachelor of science (BS) degree in mathematics magna cum laude from North Central College in Naperville, Ill. As a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), he is board-certified in healthcare management.

John Byerley

Chief Technology Officer
As Chief Operating Officer, John will oversee all clinical trials operational functions, including project management, data management, specimen management, process improvement, portfolio management, logistics and kits. John has more than 25 years of experience within the pharmaceutical, clinical diagnostics, insurance risk assessment, and information technology industries, with extensive experience in all areas of the central laboratory functions. He has held VP of Central Lab Operations and CIO roles.

Lee Goodwin, PhD, CChem, FRSC

Executive Director, Clinical Trials Operations, UK
Lee obtained a BSc in Biochemistry and a PhD in Chemistry, both at the University of York, before joining the Worldwide Bioanalysis group at GSK, Ware, as a technical specialist in LC-MS/MS. Lee progressed to Team Leader at GSK before moving to Covance to lead the LC–MS/MS Method Development group within Bioanalytical Chemistry as a senior manager. The role developed into scientific lead with Lee assuming responsibility for Method Development and Study Management. Lee was then appointed as Associate Director of Bioanalytical Chemistry at Covance, Harrogate before progressed to Director, Bioanalytical Chemistry (Europe). Lee’s final role with Covance before joining ACM was as Global Director of the Early Development Chemistry Project Management group. Lee is a Chartered Chemist and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry.

Nandan Rao

General Manager, Asia Pacific
As General Manager Asia Pacific, Nandan Rao oversees ACM’s clinical trial facility and personnel in India. Nandan has a wealth of experience with over 28 years handling both business development and operational responsibilities in pharmaceutical, diagnostic and central laboratory organizations. Before joining the ACM team, Nandan worked for more than 5 years in India’s largest Central Reference Laboratory where as a business unit head he was instrumental for setting up the Clinical Trial operations. With his General Manager responsibilities, Nandan will have oversight of the clinical trials conducted in the Asia-Pacific region.

Robert Carlson, MD, FCAP

Vice President, Medical Laboratory Affairs
Dr. Carlson serves as the primary medical officer for ACM’s Clinical Trials and Medical Diagnostic businesses, responsible for oversight of ACM’s laboratory quality, scientific, compliance, and patient care elements.Dr. Carlson is a Board Certified Pathologist and served as Pathology Department Chairman at the Marshfield Clinic for over 15 years. Dr. Carlson has also served in a variety of other roles within the laboratory, pathology, and business functions, and was most recently Laboratory Director at NXGEN MDX, a NGS laboratory for carrier screening located in Grand Rapids Michigan.

Terri Snider

Executive Director, Human Resources
As HR Head, Terri Snider is responsible for all aspects of human resources at ACM, and acts as a strategic business partner to Sr. Management in the achievement of business objectives. Prior to joining ACM, she had a very successful career spanning more than two decades with Bausch + Lomb, Inc., in Rochester, New York. Most recently, Terri was Director, Human Resources – Global Quality & Operations at B+L, but Terri also held positions managing employee relations and diversity initiatives, global talent management, human resources operations, recruitment and training efforts. Terri graduated from the University of Buffalo with a B.A. in Communications, and earned a Master’s degree in Human Resources Development from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

thomas depalma

Vice President, Medical Diagnostic Sales
As Vice President of Medical Diagnostic Sales, Tom is responsible for leading the sales organization for ACM’s medical diagnostics and toxicology business lines. Tom has more than 25 years’ experience managing sales organizations, with previous tenures at Quest Diagnostics and Roche Biomedical Laboratories (now Laboratory Corporation of America). Since starting at ACM in 2011, Tom has driven the company’s growth of our toxicology service line regionally with national expansion focus. Tom earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from the State University College at Fredonia.
